Purest of Pain is a Dutch modern death metal band formed by myself in 2008. In 2010 we had a fixed line-up and we started playing regular shows and a lot of support shows. We’ve played with bands like Unearth, Suicide Silence, Grave, MaYaN, Attack Attack!, All Shall Perish, Cattle Decapitation, Melechesh and many more… Also we’ve been nominated for the 3voor12/Utrecht award ‘Best Live Act’. In 2011 we’ve released our first EP ‘Revelations in Obscurity’ and in 2013 a video ‘Momentum’. Currently we’re working on our debut album which will be released in the end of 2015.

Extremely catchy refrains, bewitching hooks and melodies, symphonic bombast and of course a good dose of Metal – that’s how Symphonic Metal has to sound in 2014! Vocalist supreme Charlotte Wessels and her equally talented band colleagues exceeded the highest expectations and have elevated the genre to a whole new level.
